The Lone Mountain Farms Blog is our way of sharing the stories on the farm and bringing you on the journey with us. As the seasons change so do the activities on the farm.
Our market garden begins around March when we begin our seedlings and ends in October when the frost sets in and pumpkins are ready for carving.
The hops spring forth like asparagus shoots in early spring and climb their way up to the sky until late summer harvest. Then we enjoy some beer making!
The grains are becoming a core part of the farm as we develop a farm estate beer and local flour.
And don’t forget the chickens. Our hens are free range and spend their days chasing bugs and sunbathing.
All of these areas need tending, recording, and improving, so we’re bringing technology into play. We’ll share the steps in creating and implementing a whole farm system that acts like our farm manager.
Thank you for coming along this journey with us!
